The spark of inspiration for this whole piece started with the audio clip I used from Resident Evil 3, where Carlos Oliveira says "What in the Sci-Fi bullshit is this?" My immediate thought when I heard that was the scene from Alien when the baby Xenomorph comes out of the guy's chest. However, I also wanted this to be humorous and include more clips from video games, so I decided to find more clips that could relate to the Resident Evil/dying motif I was rolling with. Along the way, after adding some clips that were related to memes, I remembered that 5 Gum commercial that went viral and wanted to add my take, and lighten up the mood at the same time, to the video. I tried not to think to hard about what I was doing because I knew that if I did, I both would not have ever finished this or it would not have been something I am (mildly) proud of.
